Start with material that costs nothing
Several providers let learners start without paying. Runway Academy's courses are open to join at no charge; Higgsfield's courses start at no charge; Curious Refuge has a no-charge introductory course beside its paid one. As of 2026-09-25.
No-charge material shows how a provider teaches before committing to a longer course.
Tool makers' material teaches their own product; an introductory course from a school shows its teaching style.
Prices are not recorded on this site; check the live page before enrolling.
No-charge courses from tool makers are also the quickest way to learn what a tool can and cannot do before paying for a longer filmmaking course that uses it.
Keep a note of what each no-charge course covered, to avoid paying later for the same ground.
Open videos, like invideo's and OpenArt's, need no account at all, which makes them the lowest-effort start.
